Collect: O God, who wanted Your Word to take up the truth of human flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary, grant, we beseech, that we, who confess our Redeemer to be God and man, may also merit to be the sharers of His divine nature.
So Wednesday was the Annunciation. Wednesday also means work all day, but I managed to go to 12:15 Mass to help out with some simply chanting.
The Annunciation has a simple message: accept God’s will. Mary’s yes to God’s will changed the course of history; imagine how the world can be if we say yes to God’s will.
After work was Bible study. It was a small group, but we discussed the Annunciation and what it is we are looking forward to as Catholics.
After Bible study, we went to a Trialogue, which was a discussion between Jews, Christians, and Muslims. It was an interesting experience. We are called to glorify the Lord by our lives and proclaim the truth that God loves us that he sent his only son Jesus to save us. It is then interesting that there is an entire religion that has the same characters as we do, but then they say we are false.
In the end, let us pray that we all strive towards truth, and that all of the mysteries will be revealed in the end when we see the beatific vision.
Have a blessed Lent
