Good Friday

Prayer: O God, who by the Passion of Christ your Son, our Lord, abolished the death inherited from ancient sin by every succeeding generation, grant that just as, being conformed to him, we have borne by the law of nature the image of the man of earth, so by the sanctification of grace we may bear the image of the Man of heaven.

This was a Good Friday unlike any I have ever experienced. I sang at Morning Prayer, went to class, then went to Stations of the Cross, then reviewed some music for the Good Friday Service.

The Service was amazing. The Passion was chanted and the choir was on point. I was trembling while singing with the choir at one point because of how moving the music in the context of the day was. I’m pretty sure there were others crying during the Veneration of the Cross.

Christ died for us to ransom us sinners. We have the chance at eternal life because Christ died for us.

Let us truly await his return.
